Shoalhaven Wine Month debuts this November, joining the statewide NSW Wine celebration with a calendar of immersive food and wine experiences just a short drive from Sydney and Canberra.As NSW’s only coastal wine region, the Shoalhaven Coast is known for award-winning wines shaped by maritime terroir and laid-back South Coast hospitality. Guests are invited to explore the vineyards, meet the people behind the vineyards, and experience the quiet magic of the region through limited-events, golden hour tastings, twilight woodfired pizza nights, and live music among the vines.
Presented by the Shoalhaven Coast Wine Association, participating wineries include Two Figs, Cupitt’s Estate, Silos Estate, Crooked River, Lyrebird Ridge, Cambewarra Estate, Mountain Ridge, Yarrawa and Coolangatta Estate.
Vino Italiano at Cupitt’s Estate – Wednesday 12th November In collaboration with Lowe Wines and The Zin House, guests will enjoy six Italian courses paired with six wines, exploring why Italian grapes thrive in Shoalhaven’s local terroir. From vibrant whites like Arneis and Vermentino to soulful reds such as Sangiovese and Nebbiolo, each pairing highlights the varietal’s unique NSW expression.
Chef’s Tasting Menu at Bangalay Dining with Cupitt’s Wine Pairing – Friday 21st November. Multi-award-winning, hatted restaurant Bangalay Dining presents a five-course wine-paired dinner in collaboration with Cupitt’s Estate. Highlights include Sweet & Sour Misty Valley Mushrooms with fermented honey and mushroom verjus, paired with Cupitt’s 2024 Viognier; Wild South Coast Kingfish with village pine vinegar, compressed green grapes and Geraldton wax oil, paired with Cupitt’s 2024 Fiano; and Spring Lamb Shoulder with beach mustard, sour cream and seaweed sauce, paired with Luncheon Claret – Caroline’s Cabernet–Syrah 2022.
A Slow Afternoon at Lyrebird Ridge with Slowfood – Sunday 29th November Guests will enjoy the latest vintage Chambourcin 2025 at this small-scale organic vineyard, paired with bites from sustainable Shoalhaven producers including wild deer from Tegrideer Wild Game Meats, Farmgate Restaurant, and organic vegetables from Patchy Growers in Kangaroo Valley.
